Day 1 Thu: Depart Canada
Board your international flight

Day 2 Fri: Arrive Saigon
Meet on arrival and transfer to Hotel Metropole. Afternoon sightseeing in Cholon (Chinatown). The sprawling, densely populated Cholon (Chinatown) retains a traditional atmosphere, unlike the more modern Saigon city center. Explore Binh Tay Market, Thien Hau Pagoda, the Nghia An Hoi Pagoda, and the Tam Son Hoi Quan Pagoda. (B)

Day 3 Sat: Saigon
In vibrant Saigon the emerging modern skyline stands cheek by jowl with colonial buildings and traditional temples. Begin your tour strolling along Dong Khoi street, drive past City hall , the old Opera House, and pay a quick visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central post office, the Reunification Palace, the war remnants museum with its collection of tanks, planes and weapons and the central Ben Thanh market. Excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels, an important Vietcong base during the American War, dug by hand out of hard laterite. Venture inside some of the tunnels, now modified for tourists. (B)

Day 4 Sun: Saigon
Excursion to My Tho with a boat trip to Mekong River islands. From Saigon, transfer to My Tho, visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda. Later, explore the islands of the Mekong, stopping at an orchard for fruit and tea and listening to local music. Enjoy a brief sampan ride through the tiny waterways that thread the island. (B)

Day 5 Mon: Saigon - Hue
Morning fly to Hue. On arrival transfer to Hotel Deluxe Riverview. Hue, established in the 17th century ,was the capital of Vietnam for more than 140 years. It houses ancient temples, imperial buildings and French-style edifices. Excursion to Thien Mu Pagoda with a boat trip on the Huong Giang river. Set out on a local boat cruise down the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda. Visit the 19th century Old Imperial Citadel modeled after the Forbidden City of Peking. Visit Dien Tho Palace, the Thai Hoa Palace, the Halls of the Mandarins, the original Nine Dynastic Urns and the Imperial Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. (B)

Day 6 Tue: Hue - Danang - Hoi An
Drive from Hue to Hoi An via sightseeing in Danang. The Cham Museum houses probably the best collection of 4th century Cham art to be found anywhere in the world with more than 300 artifacts , also visit the marble mountains- 5 marble hillocks, once islands, each said to represent one of the five elements of the universe. Visit the exquisitely preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site merchant town of Hoi An, with its temples dating back to the 16th-17th centuries is a thriving center of traditional crafts and a shoppers’ paradise. Stay at Hoi An Trails Resort. (B)

Day 7 Wed: Hoi An
Day at leisure to enjoy this beautiful resort. (B)

Day 8 Thu: Hoi An - Danang - Hanoi
Morning drive from Hoi An to Danang to board flight to Hanoi. Meet on arrival and transfer to Ocean Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Hanoi visiting The Temple of Literature, founded in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius and the site of Vietnam’s first university, the museum of Ethnology that brings to life the astonishing ethnic diversity in Vietnam, Hoan Kiem lake also know as the 'Lake of the Restored Sword, and the Ngoc Son Temple. Discover the old quarter of Hanoi by cycle (1 hour). It is also called 36 streets most of which are named after the crafts or merchandise traditionally sold there. Later, a Water Puppet Show at The Municipal Water Puppet Theater located on the shore of Hoan Kiem Lake. (B)

Day 9 Fri: Hanoi
Afternoon Excursion to Halong Bay with boat trip including lunch. The cruise begins at 12.30 pm on a traditional wooden boat on the emerald waters among the craggy limestone cliffs of Halong Bay. Sail past floating villages and observe the rhythms of daily life on the bay returning at 4.30 pm. (B,SL)

Day 10 Sat: Hanoi
Morning visit the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex, the miniature 11th century, One pillar pagoda. Begin at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, closed Mondays ,Fridays, and annually in October, November for restoration. Continue to the Presidential Palace ( viewed from the outside only). Stroll through the park to Ho Chi Minh Stilt House. Afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 11 Sun: Depart Hanoi
Transfer to airport to fly back home. (B)
